What are some of the benefits?

The best part of staying in a private home is the PRIVACY. The home is yours for the rental period.  You may use the rooms, the lake and other amenities when you please.  Get up at day break and watch the sun rise from your private deck. Sit by the lake, swim, canoe or do nothing.  Take a quiet nap, and enjoy a bon fire with just your family.  A private home offers PEACE AND QUIET!!

What are the responsibilities of a renter?

Enjoying a lake home and having a pleasant vacation is the main responsibility.  Renters plan and cook meals, keep the home tidy and respect the property being rented.  If something in the home is not working properly it is the renters responsibility to notify Cabin Connect.  In general you will be responsible for keeping the property in the same condition it was given to you.  The owners will be coming back to enjoy their homes after the rental period and  it is important that owners find their home as they left it. 

How do I reserve a home with Cabin Connect?

After looking over the lake homes available, call or email and Jane will answer any questions you  have about the property you are interested in. A deposit is required to reserve a vacation date.  A reservation is complete when the deposit has been paid.  Payment can be with a check or credit card. Final payments are due before the rental begins. Payment details are outlined in the Rental Agreement. Invoices will be emailed, or mailed to you as your rental period approached.  Each home sets their own rental schedule, check in and out dates will vary by the home requested.  Remember, the owners are renting for short periods of time and cabin connect accommodates home owners schedules. 

What "water toys" may I bring along?

Boats and jet skis are half the fun of a vacation.  Renters may discuss the boat lifts available with each rental.  Remember, lifts may or may not be available with every rental.   Home owners will not allow renters to use  their personal boats.  Cabin Connect will not be responsible for any boats or the docks boats are moored to.  It is suggested that you trailer your boat after each day to be completely safe.  All liability is that of the renter.  It is always possible to bring a kayak or canoe to the lake and they require no moorings or lifts.  Clarify all "water toy" arrangements before the lake home rental is finalized.

As a final thought, Jane has checked out all the rental homes, they are wonderful places to create vacation memories.  As a renter it is an opportunity to have a "home away from home" for vacation .  Be open and flexible, read the Rental Agreement  and clarify your questions before you arrive and memories will be positive
